Warren Hills Regional High School Course of Study 2008-2009 Extracurricular Activities
i. Horizons Program (grades 9-12)
The Horizons (Gifted and
Talented) Program of Warren Hills is available to students who have demonstrated
highly refined academic skills and/or exceptional ability in developing
original ideas, especially as solutions to problems. The Horizons Program sponsors extracurricular options such
as, independent study, personal development projects, internships within the
community, writing conferences and an arts symposium. All the activities are designed to stimulate high levels of
thinking, promote creative and critical problem solving, and develop leadership
skills. Curricular offerings such
as honors and AP courses provide opportunities for high school Horizons
students as well as other qualified students to address more advanced content
at a faster pace.
ii. Clubs and Activities
Many clubs and activities are
available to students at Warren Hills. Students are encouraged to consider joining one or more.
