Dual Enrollment
Warren Hills Regional High School participates in the dual enrollment program of Warren County Community College. This program provides our students with the opportunity to earn transferable college credit while completing selected high school classes at no cost to the student.
Dual enrollment students are required to pass the College Basic Skills Placement Test administered by WCCC if the studentsŐ SAT scores are lower than 500 or if the SAT has not been taken yet.
Students take the courses at Warren Hills and are subject to the Warren Hills exam exemption policy.
The following courses are currently approved for dual enrollment credit: AP English-Language and Composition, AP English-Literature, AP European History, AP Biology, AP Chemistry and AP Physics.
It
is the goal for all students participating in the Senior Project experience to
realize the connection of school to possible college majors and/or career
interests. Students will have the opportunity to explore a career interest(s)
and potential work related opportunities and be able to make better decisions
and choices concerning their future.
A
student shall design and complete a project in one or more areas of
concentrated study in partnership with a faculty or community mentor, with
support from their guidance counselor and with oversight by the career
coordinator. The purpose of the project, which will include research, writing
and an exhibition of the product, is to assure that the student be able to
apply, analyze, synthesize and evaluate information, communicate significant
knowledge and understanding. A limited number of students are selected, to be
eligible for application, students must have a GPA of 2.5 or higher and
scheduled to graduate in June of the current school year.
