ALVERNIA COLLEGE MERIT SCHOLARSHIPS
Alvernia College is offering various merit scholarships grants and awards.

ART INSTITUTE OF PHILADELPHIA MERIT SCHOLARSHIPS
The Art Institute of Philadelphia is offering various merit scholarships.

BROTHER THOMAS W. BRIGHT COMMUNITY EDUCATION SCHOLARSHIP
The Express –Times will award one $1,000 scholarship to a minority individual living in Northampton County, PA or Warren County, NJ.
Criteria: -Must be a minority student
-Intends to continue education at a trade school, community college or four-year college or university in Fall 2008.
-Selection will be based equally on: leadership in school & community activities, a clear statement of educational and career goals, academic record and demonstrated financial need.

EPILEPSY FOUNDATION OF NEW JERSEY SCHOLARSHIP
Criteria:
-Must be a high school senior with epilepsy planning to attend a college or university.
-Academic achievement, participation in activities and financial need will all be considered.

HACKETTSTOWN HOSPITAL HEALTH CAREER SCHOLARSHIP AWARDS
Hackettstown Hospital is offering scholarships to current Junior Volunteers at the hospital who are planning a career in healthcare or a related medical field.
Deadline: The applications will be available in Human Resources (908.850.6910) beginning March 1, 2008

HUNTERDON/WARREN CHAPTER OF THE N.J. BUILDING & GROUNDS ASSOC. SCHOLARSHIP
Criteria: -Eligible to high school seniors who will be pursuing an education beyond high school.

Criteria:
Scholastic achievement SAT scores, Qualities of character and leadership, Length and quality of service as a caddie, Financial need, Golf club’s support of the program

St. John’s University is offering various merit scholarships grants and awards.

STEPHEN B. SPEIRS FIRST MASONIC DISTRICT SCHOLARSHIP
Criteria:
-First Masonic District public high school graduate.
-Planning to enroll in either Warren or Sussex County Community College
-Majoring in Criminal Justice.
-Class Rank
-Demonstrated community service.
-Written recommendation from Guidance Counselor

YOUTH CITIZENSHIP AWARD
Sponsored by Soroptimist International of Hackettstown, New Jersey
The Youth Citizenship Award (YCA) is given by the Hackettstown club in recognition of the outstanding contributions made by young people to school and community. The award is not a scholarship but an award of merit to be used at the discretion of the recipient in any manner that will best further his/her aims and purposes. The cash award is given in a single payment to each winner.
Eligibility: The applicant (male or female) must be in the last year of a public or private high school and must demonstrate the following: service, dependability, sincerity, integrity, and leadership.

*Please note: For any scholarship requiring a transcript, students must fill out a transcript release form and give it to their counselor. This will insure that the transcript is sent to the appropriate school or agency.
