Advisor- Ms. Hope Hollenbeck
This is my 4th year as an advisor for the Middle School's Peer Leadership Program! WHMS Peer Leaders work with our school and community to help and implement various activities and events throughout the school year. Peer leaders are nominated at the beginning of the year and then interviewed and selected. Several factors (grades, behavior, attendance) are taken into consideration during this process. Peer Leaders meet every Thursday in room 120 after school unless otherwise noted. If you are interested in joining and were not chosen please see me for more information. The following are examples of what our peer leaders are involved in during the year:
7th grade Orientation
Back to School Night tours
New Student Orientation
Management of the School's public signs
Fundraising
Organizing charitable events/donations (Habitat for Humanity, Common Sense for Animals)
Organizing a yearly staff vs student game to support a local charity (The Michelle Fund)
Help with Week of Respect activities
Anti-bullying presentations for student body
Help with Mix It Up Day
Participate in the HS Challenge Day
And much much more!!!
