We continued exploring our early democracy by continuing prep for a mock constitutinal convention.  To that end, we finished teaching each other about our respective backgrounds (in a speed dating style format) and began our final caucus (i.e. drafting resolutions).  We will finish the final caucus next class and will begin the convention.

We viewed Foner Podcat 6.1 for the do now.  We then began exploring our early democracy by beginning prep for a mock constitutinal convention.  To that end, we split into groups, with each group becoming a social background (that was not really present at the actual convention).  To access the doc used in class click here.  We were able to complete steps 1-3 (that means the we read the cover page and the "Burning Issues" page, split into pairs, and each pair was able to read their background).  Next class, you will have 5 or so minutes to refresh your memory of your background and we will then complete step 4 (i.e. teach each other about the assigned backgrounds).
