• Dear Students & Parent/Guardian(s),

    I sincerely hope you and your families are safe and healthy!

    As we continue Remote Teaching and Learning for the foreseeable future, and prepare to embark on Marking Period 4, I wanted to review and remind you of the expectations for you and your child(ren) and the completion/submission of class assignments. Also, I am including guidance on communications with teachers, guidance counselors and case managers should you have questions and/or needs for clarification.

    As previously shared, Marking Period 4 will begin on Monday April 6th. We have adjusted the assigning of tasks, homework, classwork and projects as stated below:

    • Our students should expect 3 hours of instruction per week, per class for all of their classes. This includes all instruction, classwork, and homework.
    • Assignments will be posted to Google Classroom by our teachers each Monday for the week, and students will have until Friday to complete their assignments at their own pace and submit through Google Classroom.  

    Please note, the first step in communication from teachers to students & parent/guardian(s) will be through the warrenhills.org email accounts. Please ensure that you are checking for emails in order to maintain open lines of communication. I would ask that you utilize the district “Helpline” (908-689-3050 ext.1016) or technology@warrenhills.org if you are experiencing internet connectivity and/or technology issues.

    The next layer of communication will be via cell phone contact by the department supervisor, guidance counselor or case manager to ensure we are providing necessary support for all students and families. Again, our main goal is to provide these supports during these unique and trying times. Please note, that in some instances these phone calls may be from blocked numbers, so please answer and ensure your phone carrier supports accepting calls from blocked numbers.

    Families in need of the Free & Reduced lunch program can apply online via the Genesis Parent Portal.  After you log in, go to Student Data, then Forms.  "Online Free and Reduced Lunch Application" is at the bottom of that page. You can apply for the first time, or you can re-apply if you applied earlier in the year.

    If you are eligible for free or reduced lunch, you can pick up lunches on Mondays and Thursdays at Warren Hills High School, between 10:00am - 11:00am and Franklin Township Elementary School between 10:30am - 11:30am.

    Please be assured that this is confidential and intended to help families during these uncertain times.

    We are here to continue to support our parents, students, and school community during this difficult time.  Maintaining open lines of communication to ensure student success and reducing anxiety are our main goals. Please do not hesitate to reach out to our counselors, case managers, teachers or our building principals.  Remember - we are all in this together.
