Dear Warren Hills Community,
I hope this email finds you well. Due to the unpredictable year we have had thus far, we are off to a late start with our SEAC (Special Education Advisory Committee). For those of you that are new to SEAC, this is a parent advisory committee required for all school districts in New Jersey. The purpose of this group is to provide opportunities for parents and community members to offer input to their districts on critical issues relating to students with disabilities.
New Jersey Administrative Code 6A:14-1.2(h) states that:
Each board of education shall ensure that a special education parent advisory group is in place in the district to provide input to the district on issues concerning students with disabilities.
In hopes to bridge the gap between administration, parents and the community this group will serve as an opportunity to work together to meet the needs of all of our students. Currently within our executive committee, is liaison Lisa Marshall, parent, Elizabeth North and Supervisor of Special Services, MaryLouise Rowlin. We are seeking two additional parent representatives to serve on our committee. If you would like to serve as an executive committee member please email us a seac@warrenhills.org. Once our committee is established, please monitor your email for more information.
We look forward to working with you to offer the best opportunities for our students.
Yours truly,
MaryLouise Rowlin
Supervisor of Special Education
