Linewize Monitor
Dear Warren Hills Parents/Guardians,
As students’ lives become increasingly digital, the Warren Hills Regional School District recognizes the need to keep our students safe online. This year, the Warren Hills Regional School District will be implementing the Linewize Monitor student self-harm notification system as part of the district’s broader suicide prevention program.
Linewize Monitor helps notify the Warren Hills Regional School District’s administration if the system detects that a child searches, creates, views, or interacts with online content that could be related to suicide or self-harm. Because of this, Linewize Monitor helps the Warren Hills Regional School District detect and intervene when a child may be at risk of suicide or self-harm.
It is important to know that neither the Warren Hills Regional School District nor Linewize Monitor can possibly detect every situation when a child is suicidal.
The Warren Hills Regional School District will notify parents or guardians at the number associated with the child on the Warren Hills Regional School District’s Genesis student information system. Please make sure for Linewize Monitor and otherwise that our system has your correct email address and phone number on file at all times. Email address and phone number updates can be completed in Genesis Parent Portal on the Contacts tab.
Outside of school hours including weeknights and weekends, notifications that are deemed an imminent threat by the system will be referred to Warren County law enforcement dispatch to conduct a wellness check.
Thank you for partnering with us to enhance our student safety protocols. If you have any questions, please refer to Board of Education Policy and Regulation 5350 for our district suicide prevention policy and/or contact your building principal.
Sincerely,
Mr. Christopher Kavcak
Principal, Warren Hills Regional High School
Mr. Nicholas Remondelli
Principal, Warren Hills Regional Middle School
