We finished up the  Social Movements and Constitutional Change: Women's Suffrage Activity.  We also discussed the Women's Suffrage essay.  The assignment is on Google Classroom.

To sort of pre-write for the essay the class split into groups and created a timeline, categorized the events found in the Women's' Suffrage packet.  This essentially outlines your essay.  The description of the essay assignment is located in the Women's Suffrage packet.

We then viewed a Sound Smart Great Migration Video for the do now.

We will begin the Great Migration fabulous video next class.

We viewed Foner Podcast 19.1 for the do now.  Don't forget to add to the video notes packet to be submitted on test day.  We then began our analysis of the women's suffrage movement.  To that end, we began to work our way through the Social Movements and Constitutional Change: Women's Suffrage Activity.  The class is splitting into groups and analyzing several primary sources (while completing the worksheets in that packet), creating a timeling, and ultimately writing an essay.  Today, we were able to read the directions on the first page of the Social Movements packet and the class spent about 15 minutes working their way through the primary sources, and will finish next class.
