    We continued working our way through the Abolitionism in America Packet.   Today was the final day to draft talking points for the fishbowl that will happen next class.

    We viewed Foner Podcast 11.3 for the do now.  We then continued working our way through the Abolitionism in America Packet.   Each group completed te last 5 teaching sessions and began drafting talking points for the fishbowl discussions.  We will finish the talking points next class and the fishbowl be the class after that.  

     

    HW due Tuesday - Plantation vs Factory Packet Activity and Dialogue Poem  the dialogue poem that is the final assessment in the packet is due

    We viewed Foner Podcast 11.6 for the do now.  We viewed Foner Podcast 9.4 for the do now.  We then continued working our way through the Abolitionism in America Packet.   Each group finished their analysis of their assigned figure (had 10 minutes) and then began teaching each other their respective figure (we got through 2 sessions).  Next class, we will finish the speed dating teaching sessions and begin draft talking points for the fishbowl.

    We viewed Foner Podcasts 10.2 and 10.4 for the do now (located on textbook website).  We then continued the Abolitionism in America Packet.   Each group almost finished their analysis of their assigned figure and will have about 10 minutes next class to finish up their assigned figure.

    We began our exploration into the arumgents for and against slavery.  To that end, we viewed Foner Podcast 11.5 for the do now (located on textbook website).  We then began a Abolitionism in America Packet.  To help us get to know some of the figures in the packet we viewed the following videos:
