Hello and welcome to Miss deBoer's page!  The 2022-23 school year is my 5th year here at Warren Hills.  I will be teaching Visual Arts I, Mixed Media and Yearbook.  On a personal note, I attended East Stroudsburg University and received a Bachelor's of Fine Arts.  I concentrated in Art history and a museum or gallery are one of my favorite places to escape!  I then worked in Interior design for 7 years with Pottery Barn before obtaining my Master's in Art Education from Kutztown University in 2016.  I enjoy being creative through photography, home decor, cooking and baking, and seeing the world through nature.  I love spending time with my Italian Greyhounds, and my family.  I look forward to getting to know you all too.  My main teaching philosophy is to instill creative thinking into learning, which is a skill that will create success in any field, especially as creative thinking is one of the 21st century's most sought after skill!

French artist, Henri Matisse once said that, "Creativity takes courage."  I hope that together, we can instill a lifelong love for creativity in you.  It will serve you well for life beyond Warren Hills.
